7. Do a 'freewriting' exercise and see where it leads you.
This tip works for me when I want to clear out the clutter in my head. Sometimes, we have so many ideas all at once that it’s hard to sort through them all. I love freewriting because it allows you to be free in writing and free in your thinking. There should be nothing constricting you, which allows your ideas to flow more freely. This exercise could be something that has nothing to do with your actually story or even something that you wouldn’t include in the book. Remember, the purpose is to get your juices flowing, so get to writing!
