12. Read grammar books.

This tip definitely goes along with Tip #11. If you don’t take a writing course or two during your career, make sure you take advantage of various grammar books. Not only can you gain imperative knowledge from them, you can also use them as reference guides. Like I said before, the English language is always changing, and it’s very important to stay up-to-date. Remember, keeping your arsenal up, will only equip you to be a dope-ass writer!
