31. Always make notes!
The best thing for me as a writer is when I’m in my zone. I love being able to envision my scenes in my head and then transfer them down onto paper. It’s like my words are flowing right through the ink, and it becomes addictive! But then there are times when everything STOPS! This part of my process never discourages me because I take it as an opportunity to regroup. One of the ways that I do this is by making notes/outlines of what I see for my next scene or chapter. I may not have everything worked out initially, but it gives me a starting place for when I get back to it. Whether it’s about dialogue, scene/character description, location info, etc., jot it down! This keeps you constantly in the mind-frame to write.
