50. Make writing a priority in your life.
Before I had my son, graduated college, started working in the corporate world, and even getting married, I had more than enough time to spare. I used to be able to read 24/7 and write until I fell asleep, but now, I have a lot more competing priorities. This doesn't mean that writing has become less important to me or that it has taken a backseat to life; it just means that I've had to do some juggling in order to ensure that I can continue to do what I love. Remember, anything you say that is important to you, you show it by how you spend your time. With work-life balance being a constant issue, it is important to find that balance so that you can get some writing in. Do what works best for you and/or your family. If writing is a passion, you should never give up on it; you may just have to adjust a little bit.
What are some ways that you make time for writing? I would love to hear from you!
